SUNK COST TRAP
Tendency of individuals to irrationally track an activity that does not fulfill their expectations because of the money and/or time spent on it. This explains why people consume meals that taste bad, finish watching movies they are not enjoying, keep clothes they have never worn, and hold on to investments that underperform. Also called Concorde fallacy.
