SCHEDULE II BANK
Schedule II Bank is a foreign bank’s subsidiary that is authorized to allow and accept deposits within Canadian territory. Canada’s Federal Bank Act regulates the financial institutions like Schedule II Bank. Its owners may be domestic or foreign. Unlike the Schedule I bank, a Schedule II bank may be owned by non-residents. However, all Schedule II banks are owned by Schedule I banks.
