COMPARABLE TRANSACTION
Process of valuating a firm for sale. It takes into the account the previous sales of same companies, as well as the market value of publicly traded companies with an equivalent business model to the firm being evaluated. One should use multiple comparable transaction to generate a more accurate valuation. This helps in determining the current value and potential growth for a firm.
