QUALIFIED ELECTRIC VEHICLE
A term that pertains to an electric vehicle that qualifies its owner to claim a nonrefundable tax credit. It should have at least four wheels, and be designed for public use. Also, it should be powered by an electric motor drawing its charge from rechargeable batteries or fuel cells.
