LANDLORD

An individual who owns a real estate property and leases it to another party (also known as tenants) within a certain period and for a specified rental fee. The landlord may either own a residential property or a commercial establishment. During the rental period, the landlord will take care of the maintenance and repairs while the tenant is accountable for the cleanliness and overall upkeep of the property.

A female landlord may be called a "landlady". This is considered a profitable venture because it provides a passive income while maintaining a property that is most likely to appreciate in value.
