INTERNATIONAL LABOR ORGANIZATION - ILO

Agency of the United Nations agency that aims to promote rights at work, encourage decent employment opportunities, refine social protection, and fortify dialogue on work-related issues. The organization was established in 1919 on the belief peace in the workplace is vital to prosperity. ILO also highlights employees’ needs to enjoy freedom, security, human dignity, and equity through their employment. ILO was UN’s first specialized agency in 1946.
