AMERICANS WITH DISABILITIES ACT - ADA

It is a law that was passed in 1990 that prohibits any kind of discrimination against people having disabilities. According to this legislation, it is illegal to discriminate a disabled person in government activities, communications, public accommodations, transportation and employment. It also prohibits labor unions, employment agencies, local governments and private employers from discriminating disabled people. Every employer is required by law to create reasonable accommodation and adjustment in order to accommodate and let the disable staff perform his or her job function.
