YEARLY RENEWABLE TERM PLAN OF REINSURANCE

Yearly Renewable Term Plan of Reinsurance is a type of life reinsurance that transfers mortality risks to a reinsurer. The primary insurer or the ceding company yields the net amount at risk for the amount higher than the retention limit of a particular life insurance policy. This amount is equivalent to the difference between the cash value and the face value of an insurance policy. It is yielded to a reinsurer, which pays this amount as part of the death benefit.
