TREASURY RECEIPT
Zero-coupon bond that strips the interest at regular payments between the issuance date and maturity date, but collects and pays the interest with the principal at maturity. An intermediary, usually a brokerage firm, sells the Treasury receipt at a discount rate, and issues it to the purchaser, indicating the underlying securities.
