TRADING HALT
Temporary suspension in trading a specific security in one or more exchanges for several reasons, normally for anticipating a news announcement or correcting order imbalance. A regulation also has a discretion to impose a trading halt. During this period, open orders may can still be cancelled and options can still be exercised. Also called suspended trading.
