STRUCTURED REPACKAGED ASSET-BACKED TRUST SECURITY - STRATS
Derivative product in which the originator purchases an asset, puts up a trust, and issues securities to investors. Similar to an exchange-traded fund or American Depository Receipt, investors can benefit from the asset’s performance with structured repackaged asset backed trust securities. Such products combine two or more financial vehicles with at least one derivative.
