STRATEGIC JOINT VENTURE
Business agreement in which two separate firms work together in order to attain certain goals. Such arrangements need not to be permanent, and it offers the benefits of retaining their independence and identities as individual companies while balancing their weaknesses with their strengths. Also called strategic partnership.
