SOLVENCY
Solvency is the ability or capacity of a company when it comes to meeting their established long-term financial obligations. The importance of solvency is to determine whether the company is fit to stay in business while it maintains liquidity or the capacity to meet short-term financial obligations. A company must be able to balance the two as the lack of either one might lead to bankruptcy.
