SET-OFF CLAUSE
Set-Off Clause is a legal clause. It authorizes the lender to seize the deposit of a debtor in the case of default on the loan. A set-off clause is also the settlement of mutual debt between a debtor and creditor by offsetting the claims of the transaction so that the creditors may receive more than they typically do during bankruptcy proceedings.
