SEC FORM N-17F-1
SEC Form N-17f-1 is also referred to as the Certificate of Accounting of Securities and Similar Investments of a Management Investment Company in Custody of National Securities Exchangers. This means that SEC Form N-17f-1 is a filing that places and keeps securities and any similar investment in the custody of a company registered under the national securities exchange that must be submitted by investment companies. Investment companies filing SEC Form N-17f-1 is required to maintain an independent public account for the verification of the securities and similar investments of the company by conducting an actual examination three times every fiscal year. The account is slated to ready a certificate wherein it will state that the examination has been conducted, the description of the examination, to be submitted to the SEC and other relevant state administrators.
