SCRAMBLED ASSORTMENT
Scrambled Assortment is a merchandise assortment strategy. It is when a company carries products that is not connected or completely unrelated to its primary line of products in business. It is done to appeal to a new set of customers for additional patronage. A scrambled assortment may be for companies that have products of the same type like a bookstores whose added products are journals, stationeries, and book marks or for companies that don’t carry the same type of products like a balloon company which sells coloring books, etc.
