NATIONAL SAVINGS RATE
An assessment from the United States Commerce Department's Bureau of Economic Analysis or BEA of the sum of income left over after deducting consumption costs and expenses. Although it is mentioned to as a "savings rate," it does not actually measure the amount of money Americans are saving or investing for a long-term.
