MORNINGSTAR RISK RATING
A financial rating system that ranges from one to five stars; one star being the poorest rank and five stars being the best. This ranking is given publicly traded mutual funds and ETFs by Morningstar Inc., an investment company. Also called star ratings, it is formed to help easily investors identify funds to consider purchasing for their investment portfolios. These are intended to be the starting point for further research but are not buy or sell recommendations.
