Largest companies in the investment arena, as determined by market capitalization. While there is no precise meaning, mega cap refers to companies with a market capitalization above $100 billion. These are typically household names with strong brand recognition and worldwide operations. Exxon Mobil, Apple, Microsoft, Nestle, and IBM are some of the examples of mega cap companies.
