MARKOV ANALYSIS
A statistical method used in predicting the behavior of a variable or system that is not dependent on its past history. The method was named after Russian Mathematician Andrei Andreyevich Markov, who introduced a system for forecasting random variables and pioneered the study of stochastic processes that involves the chance operation.
