LOW-DOWN MORTGAGES
Secured mortgage programs that require a small down payment. It normally require a downpayment from 3%-5% of the property value. But some lenders have schemes for 100% financing or 0% down payment. These are primarily modelled for borrowers who have low to moderate income and first time buyers. Other borrowers opt to employ low-down mortgages to use their down payment somewhere else. These are given through several sources such as state and local governments, Federal Housing Administration, Veterans Administration, and individual lenders.
