LIQUIDATION MARGIN
Value of all of the equity positions in a margin account. If an investor holds a long position, then the liquidation margin is equal to what he or she would retain if the position was closed. On the other hand, if he or she has a short position, the margin is equivalent to what the trader would owe to buy the stock or other trading instrument.
