LEVEL 2 ASSETS
Assets that do not have a regular market pricing but the fair market value can be easily determined based on diverse data values or market prices, as stated in the Financial Accounting Standards Board Statement 175. Occasionally called "mark to model" assets, these can be almost approximated by applying plain models and extrapolation methods, using known and observable prices as parameters. Part of a general requirement of publicly-traded companies is they are obligated to report to market makers the component of the assets based on inevitability of fair value calculations.
