LADDER OPTION
An option that allows the investor to lock-in a profit on the underlying asset or security once it reached predetermined price levels or "rungs" before the option expires. The price levels are usually settled in specific laddering distances above (call) or below (put) the exercise price in percentage form, usually 5% or 10%.
Also known as lock-step option or step-lock option.
