KIDNAP INSURANCE
A form of insurance coverage that is created to protect individuals from being kidnapped, or in the event a person is kidnapped and a ransom is demanded. Usually, individuals or companies who operate in high-risk areas avail this package. It also covers circumstances other than kidnapping including extortion. In this case, the money paid for a ransom, medical expenses, counseling or accidental death of the kidnap victim will be reimbursed.
Like in other types of insurances, one must pay the premium in order to get the coverage. Nigeria, Haiti, and Venezuela are some of the high-risk areas in the world.
