INSIDE DIRECTOR
Member of a company’s board of directors who is either an employee, officer, or major shareholder. Along with outside directors for that matter, they have a fiduciary duty to the firm and are anticipated to represent the best interests of the firm. Because they have a specialized knowledge about the inner workings of the company, a sturdy board of inside directors is a key factor to achieve success.
