INCUBATED FUND
Fund that is managed and offered privately when first created. Investors of this fund are normally employees connected to the fund and their family members. Incubation permits fund managers to maintain a fund’s size small while testing several investment styles before making the fund available, which is subject to rules and regulations. This fund is never officially called incubated but is instead called limited distribution funds.
