GROUP OF TEN - G10

Group of 11 industrialized and wealthiest countries that convene year over year to consult each other, as well as argue and cooperate on international financial matters. Established in 1962, these nations are prepared to lend their currencies to the International Monetary Fund (IMF) up to fixed amounts when the need for supplementary resources arises. These are the following member countries: Belgium, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, the Netherlands, Sweden, the United Kingdom, the United States, and Switzerland with a minor role in the group.
