Framework of rules, processes, and practices directing and controlling a company. In essence, it aims to ensure accountability, balance, and transparency in a firm’s relationship with all of its stakeholders - shareholders, management, customers, financiers, suppliers, and the community. Corporate governance also encompasses action plans, internal controls, performance gauge, and corporate disclosure, among other aspects.
