EXCHANGE CONTROL
Controls the governments place to prohibit or restrict the amount of foreign or local currency permitted to be purchased or traded. It includes banning the usage of foreign currency and limiting the volume of domestic currency that can be exchanged within a country. Governments employ this control in order to improve its balance of payments position.
