ELECTRONIC MONEY
Money not being held physically and exists only in banking computer systems. In the United States, only a small fraction of the currency being circulated exists in physical form. Need for physical currency has decreased because more citizens prefer using electronic alternatives to physical currency. Also called digital cash.
