DRAWDOWN PERCENTAGE
Portion of a retirement account a retiree withdraws annually. If it is too high, the retiree will deplete its savings and struggle financially at the end of his life. If it is too low, he will die with money left over. Although some retirees want to spend most or all of their money they have earned and invested during their working years, others want to ensure they leave an inheritance for the family or charity they support.
