Investor seeking to acquire a huge number of shares in a publicly traded company whose assets are considered to be undervalued. By doing so, the corporate raider will have significant voting rights, which he can use to implement changes in the firm’s leadership and management. This would escalate share value that leads to a massive return for the raider.
