CONSUMER PRICE INDEX - CPI
Measure examining the weighted average of prices of a basket of consumer goods and services such as food, medical care, and transportation. It is computed by accounting price changes for every item in the preset basket of goods and getting the averaging them. Products are weighted based on its significance. Changes in CPI are used in evaluating price changes relative to the cost of living. Also called headline inflation.
