COATTAIL INVESTING
Investment strategy in which an investor duplicates the performance of well-known and historically successful investors. It discards overall portfolio considerations, risk tolerance, and other circumstances. Coattail investing is a risky technique due to time delay between a successful investor’s trade and when these are made public.
