CASH FLOW

  1. Revenue or expense stream which changes a cash account over a specific period. Usually, it comes from either financing, investing, or operations, although it can also come from donations or gifts in personal finance. Conversely, cash outflows lead to expenses or investments. This is applicate in both business and personal finance.
  2. Accounting statement reflecting the amount of money realized and used by a firm over a specified period. It is computed by adding the total noncash charges such as depreciation and net income. It can pertain to a given project or a business in general.
