CAPITAL DIVIDEND
A kind of payment by a company to its investors that is get from a firm's paid-in-capital or shareholders' equity, instead of getting from the firm’s profits, as with normal dividends. Such a dividend is usually spent in situations where a dividend payment is necessary, but company profits cannot manage such a cash note.
"Return of capital" is the other term for Capital Dividend.
