BASING
A time when a stock or other traded security is displaying a small course of action like an upward or downward motion. The effect in price pattern is called flat line. In general, 'basing' is a term used by technical analysts in interpreting an issue that is drawing together after a period of fast progress or deterioration. A basing stock is an equal quantity with the amounts of supply and demand.
