A rough numerical approximation or estimate. The ballpark figures are usually rendered by salespersons, accountants, and other professionals in order to estimate future or current results. A stockbroker could employ a ballpark figure to approximate how much money a client may possess at a certain point in the future, provided a particular rate of growth.
