A trade association consisting of insurance companies situated with the United Kingdom. An estimate of 400 member companies belonging to the Association of British Insurers, and as a group supplies roughly 90% of the domestic insurance services sold within the United Kingdom. These companies account for almost 15% of investment in the London stock market. The organization is based in London.
