ACCIDENTAL DEATH BENEFIT
It is a kind of payment that is due to the accidental death insurance policy’s beneficiary, which is commonly a rider or a clause directly in connection with a life insurance policy. This is commonly an amount that is paid in excess to the payable standard benefit if the insured party had died because of natural causes.
Depending on the policy issuer, the accidental death benefit can be extended up to one year after the occurrence of the initial accident, so long as the initial accident was the cause of the death of the insured party.
