TAX EXPORTING
Generating revenue for a jurisdiction by levying the taxes on residents of another jurisdiction. Nonresidents pay for using the public services of another state. Residents would be paying for public service provision to visiting nonresidents if not for tax exporting. But this can also discourage individuals from visiting another state if the taxes are too expensive.
