SUSPENSE ACCOUNT
1. In accounting, portion of a firm’s books recording unclassified debts and credits. The account temporarily holds uncategorized transactions while it still deciding on its classification. Such transactions still appears in the general ledger, giving the firm a precise amount of money in it.
2. In investing, a brokerage account where an investor puts cash or short-term securities while still determining where to invest these instruments in the long run.
