PERMANENT LIFE INSURANCE
A type of insurance plan that does not expire and combines a death benefit with a savings portion. This savings portion may build cash value, against which the policy owner may borrow funds, or in some instances, the owner may withdraw the cash value to help meet future goals, such as paying for the college education of a child.
