Yielded interest rate by investing in securities that have high liquidity and maturities less than a year like negotiable certificates of deposit (CD), Treasury bills, and municipal notes. To compute, get the holding period yield and multiply it by a 365-day bank year; and then divide it by maturity days. It can also be calculated by using bank discount yield.
