MONDAY EFFECT
A theory that states the stock market’s returns on Monday will follow the overall trend from the previous Friday. If the market went up on Friday, it should continue in the coming week; hence, the rise resumes on Monday. This effect generally draws an unstable performance of the stock market in the first hour of the trading day.
