MODIFIED CASH BASIS
An accounting method that unites elements of the two main accounting methods: accrual method and cash method. The cash method recognizes earnings when accepted and expenses when these are paid for. On the other hand, the accrual method recognizes revenue when earned and expenses when these are incurred. It uses accrual basis for long-term assets, while cash basis for short-term ones.
