LIFETIME PAYOUT ANNUITY
An insurance product that pays out a part of the asset portfolio in an investor’s lifetime. The payment scheme can be fixed or variable. In fixed payments, the investor receives a certain amount for every payment, possibly with cost of living adjustments (COLA). In variable payments, payouts fluctuate because it is based on the investment value in the annuity’s portfolio. Payout from this insurance usually ends with the policyholder’s death.
