LETTER OF INDEMNITY
- A letter which guaranties it will meet contractual provisions, otherwise there will be financial reparations. The letter of indemnity assures the losses will not be suffered, should some provisions in a contract not be complied.
- A letter that requests replacements for lost shares from a company's treasury.
Also called indemnity bond or bond of indemnity.
