LENDING FACILITY
Source of funds that central banks use in lending funds to primary dealers. The facilities were established to provide liquidity to financial institutions in order to comply with reserve requirements using the overnight lending market. Also, the facility is used to make liquidity larger over long periods by using term auction facilities, for example.
